Creating a platform Cancer Information

While we have regularly devoted to articles about the launch of the Cancer Plan, a new component of it has been recently implemented with the platform Cancer Info. However, mutual health play a central role in the implementation of this plan since they occur as a relay. Indeed beyond its financial role, a mutual health is for the promotion of prevention of its members. In this regard, it is an approach to meet an altruistic sense on the part of mutual health. However, do not forget the idea that a mutual health will realize substantial savings if its members are fully aware they will not seek medical claims in the event that prevention is effective.

Thus, the National Cancer Institute has set up a platform to communicate information about this disease still too taboo among French households and families: “The National Cancer Institute and the Ministry of Labour , Employment and Health launched, in partnership with the National League against Cancer, Cancer information: the information platform medical and social reference of cancer, aimed at patients and their entourage. Accessible via Internet, telephone and as information guides, Cancer info has been developed to provide answers and support patients and their families at key stages of the disease, in addition to their interactions with health care teams. Cancer info is part of the measurement 19.5 of the Cancer Plan 2009-2013, which aims to “make it accessible to patients information on cancer reference in order to make the players care system.” Its aim is thus to provide the sick and their families a validated and updated information on scientific, medical, legal and regulatory framework and in so doing, to allow patients who wish to be actors in their their full support with an informed understanding of the disease, its treatments and their consequences. “In this respect, mutual health will try to relay this information structure to all members.
